Welcome to Slow Boat, a charming cafe nestled in the heart of Singapore at 45A Craig Rd, where the love for vinyl meets the art of coffee. This unique establishment transcends the traditional cafe experience, inviting music lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike to indulge in a sensory adventure that slows down the fast pace of city life.

Upon entering Slow Boat, you're immediately enveloped in a cozy, yet vibrant ambiance that perfectly balances a laid-back atmosphere with cultural flair. The warm lighting, rich aromas of brewing coffee, and the soft crackle of vinyl records create an inviting sanctuary. The cafe is meticulously designed for patrons to relax and immerse themselves in the timeless art of vinyl listening.

One of the standout features at Slow Boat is the vinyl listening package, which allows you to select from a wide array of vinyl records ranging from classics to the latest hits. Customers rave about the $30 package that grants you one hour of uninterrupted listening alongside a refreshing nonalcoholic drink. Imagine settling into a comfortable chair, sipping on a well-crafted cup of coffee, while smooth melodies fill the air. The unique experience here is all about taking your time, letting the music wash over you, and truly savoring the moment.

Don't just take our word for it—real customers have shared their delight at Slow Boat! Dianne describes it as her first vinyl listening experience and couldn't have been happier, even on a bustling Sunday. She appreciated how the friendly staff accommodated her despite not having a reservation, emphasizing the importance of booking ahead during peak times. Meanwhile, Marcus Venu Das immersed himself in the soothing sounds, noting how songs genuinely resonate with more depth when played on vinyl. “True to the name, really got to take things slow,” he remarked, showcasing the cafe's ethos.

Customers love the engagement from the staff, who take the time to explain how to operate the vinyl players, ensuring that even those new to the format feel at home. As Matt O. noted, while the selection is vast, it might be useful to have multiple copies of popular vinyls, particularly when visiting with friends who have differing tastes in music. This small suggestion embodies the welcoming spirit of the staff, who strive to enhance your experience by accommodating your needs effortlessly.

In conclusion, if you are on the lookout for a unique cafe experience that combines the nostalgia of vinyl records with excellent coffee, make your way to Slow Boat. It's not just a cafe; it’s a haven for music lovers, a community space where good vibes abound. Bring a friend, grab a seat, and prepare to lose yourself in melodies that linger long after the needle has lifted from the record. Just remember, as our patrons remind us: reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, to ensure your perfect afternoon is just a visit away.

LOVE the ambience of Slow boat! Had an enjoyable hour of music and coffee. Huge selection of music, but wished they had multiple copies of the more popular vinyls. If going with someone else with a different taste in music, you would have to be seated separately and allocated to 2 different vinyl players. The staff was very accommodating to seat us separately yet close by. It might be good to inform them beforehand so that they can better estimate the availability of the turntables

I had a chill experience at The Vinyl Cafe this afternoon and couldn't recommend it enough. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was a perfect blend of cosy and cool. They have a 1-hour vinyl listening package, which included a non-alcoholic drink for $30, feel free to take your pick at the wide variety of vinyl records they have. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I'm pretty new to vinyl players, and they were so patient and helpful, guiding me through the process of selecting a record and showing me exactly how to use the machine, which helped made the experience completely stress-free and enjoyable. I also brought a couple of my own records, and they were more than happy to let me play it (do check with them as well as they'll need to check), which I really appreciated. The sound quality was excellent, and just being able to relax and enjoy the music in such a great setting was exactly what I needed. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. This place is a must-visit for any music lover, whether you're a seasoned vinyl collector or a curious beginner like me. Pro tip: remember to make a reservation online to guarantee yourself a spot! :)

It was my first vinyl listening experience and I’m so happy I discovered Slow Boat! Came in on a Sunday and the place was packed and I didn’t have a prior reservation but still, they accommodated me. The baristas are kind tho it’s better to have a reservation especially on the weekends so they won’t get hassled. I like the ambiance very much! 1 hour isn't enough to listen to the records I like so that's why I like to come back

Lovely experience at Slow Boat. Was there for the Lorde vinyl listening session and really enjoyed it. The café has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff were friendly and patient, taking time to explain how to operate the player and care for the vinyls. Even though it was just a one-hour session, it made for a unique and relaxing afternoon. Would definitely come back!

Had the best time at Slow Boat! This is a great place to spend some quiet time with a friend or by yourself. You pay 30 dollars for a ticket that gets your 1h of Vinyl listening and a drink. Coffee was great and the ambience was perfect. True to the name, really got to take things slow, listen to music and sip on coffee. Songs really sound better on vinyl haah.

made a booking for 5pm on a monday. the place was pretty quiet with just a few other customers around. drinks were decent, but i wish there were more affordable hourly rates — 1hr felt a bit short, especially with the time it takes to browse through the vinyls. vinyls were labeled by genre, though some were mixed up under the wrong ones. would’ve been great if they were in alphabetical order to save time, but i get that it's probably hard to maintain that. also just a heads-up: 1 booking means 1 turntable. overall, the vibes were good. i’ll definitely come back when i'm feeling a bit more spendy.
